The latest tech giant preparing to move is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2020\/12\/13\/tech\/silicon-valley-moving-to-austin-miami\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oracle who announced plans<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in December 2020 to relocate its corporate headquarters to Austin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.austinchamber.com\/economic-development\/austin-profile\/major-employers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">growth is not only tech-related<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Engineering, banking, medical, real estate, security, marketing, aerospace, and insurance companies are all thriving in Austin, and form part of the equation that makes Austin the third fastest-growing city in the nation: in 2015, Austin&#8217;s population <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.austinchamber.com\/economic-development\/austin-profile\/population\/overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">surpassed 2.0 million<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the decade ending 2018 saw a 32.7% increase in population.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Startups in particular have boomed in Austin.
